Sentencing has been adjourned for a man who admitted three charges relating to forged currency.
Ranston Everald Spence, 29, appeared in Grand Court Friday.
He pleaded guilty to forgery of currency notes – making false documents, namely CI currency notes, with intent to defraud. The offence occurred on or about 9 September 2005 at a Shedden Road address.
He also pleaded guilty to uttering six CI$1 bills, which were false documents, during September 2005.
Spence further admitted possession of forged currency: four CI$100 notes; two CI$10 noted; six CI$1; and two CI$25.
No background to the charges was given.
Defence Attorney Nicholas Dixey said the offences were considered very serious in the jurisdiction, so he was asking for a pre-sentence report.
Mrs. Justice Zaila McCalla agreed and put the matter over until 17 November. She continued the defendant’s bail.
