NHDT donates school supplies

The art rooms of government schools received a boost from the National Housing Development Trust last week when each school received a box of materials including double sided tape and glue sticks left over from the construction of the affordable housing scheme.

The materials were utilized during the construction of the houses and are no longer needed for repairs, said a press release.

Chairman of the NHDT board Leonard Ebanks said ‘We’ve been storing supplies used in the assembly of the homes for the last two years and thought the schools would appreciate using these materials in their art rooms.’

NHDT has been busy over the past few weeks cleaning out its large storeroom near HM Fairbanks Prison in preparation for a public sale of construction materials to be held on 3-4 November 9am to 1pm at the storeroom located behind the HM Fairbanks Prison.
