Thanks to the generous and civic-minded nature of an FCCA Trade Show exhibitor, residents of the Pines Retirement Home received early Christmas stocking stuffers.
Marietta Corporation in the US supplies cruise ships and Caribbean hotels with innovative amenity solutions and the organization had a wide range of these items on display at the FCCA Conference & Trade Show, states a press release.
When the Trade Show ended, Marietta Corporation’s Sales Manager, Mr. Stan Bernstein approached Department of Tourism employee Ms Patrice Donalds to find out how and where he could donate the packaged items on island. With Ms Donalds’ assistance, several boxes of soaps, lotions, bath gels, shaving and vanity kits, and a wide variety of other personal amenity items were delivered to the Pines Retirement Home 6 November, states a press release.
‘This will be a great addition to the residents’ Christmas packets that we wrap annually through the generous donation of the community,’ said Ms Margaret Jue, Activity Coordinator for the Pines. ‘We hope this early donation will encourage more individuals and companies to remember the residents of the Pines this Christmas season.’
