IRG backs junior rugby in Cayman

For the 4th year running, Jeremy Hurst, of IRG has sponsored the Junior Rugby Tournament, which has inspired other organizations to get involved. Junior Rugby practice is open to all children from the age of 2 to 14 every Saturday morning and is great way for kids to exercise, interact and participate in a worldwide sport.

‘IRG recognizes the benefits and importance that a team sport such as rugby can offer, particularly in a sport that is embraced by local and expatriate players and develops positive character traits in our youth,’ said Jeremy Hurst of IRG.

The next tournament will be in January, which is expected to have 250 competitors and up to 700 spectators, who can enjoy the games and the after event festivities. In addition to IRG’s sponsorship, the junior rugby program continues to thrive in light of the exceptional talent of its players and coaches. The progressive expansion of the programme is also attributed to the dedication of the Cayman Rugby Football Union.

Jeremy Hurst of IRG has contributed a further CI$5000 dollars to the Junior Rugby, and the club would like to express their gratitude for their 4th consecutive year of funding the Junior Rugby Festival and continued support throughout the year.
