Carlos Morgan of Middle Tennessee State University has been named Sun Belt Conference Indoor Male Field Performer of the week for his efforts at the Blue Raider Invitational on 20 January at MTSU.
Carlos’s long jump victory at 25″5″ was a personal best and leads the conference.It is also the third best this season in NCAA Division I and surpasses the provisional qualifying standard for the NCAA Division I indoor championships.His 48’5 1/4″ mark in the triple jump earned him second place(top collegian), and is the fourth-best in conference rankings.Brother Carl is less than an inch behind in fifth spot.
At the Blue Raider Invite, Carlos won the long jump, teammate Juan Walker placed second, and MTSU jumps coach Andrew Owosu took third.In the triple jump, Coach Owosu was the victor, with Carlos second.
Carlos is also listed fifth in the prestigious TRACKWIRE DANDY DOZEN for the week.

7.24 victory in the 55 meter hurdles and his 6.46 mark in the 55 meter dash finals.Stephanie Tamgho won the women’s long jump and was runnerup in the triple jump to be named Female Field Performer.
