Travis Webb recorded a height of 1.70m down from 1.80m that he recorded the previous week in Cayman for 16th place finish overall in the open men’s high jump ,he was also down to take part in the long jump but because of a late start to the meet both the high jump and long jump had a clashed in time so Coach Yen decided to bypass the long jump in favour of the high jump.

Ashleigh Nalty also jumped the qualifying height for the Carifta games with a leap of 1.55m for 7th place in the womens open high jump, she also won heat 11 in the class 4 girls 100m in a time of 13.85s.

Kedeen Foster recorded 2.26.96 for second place in the under 20 girls 800m just 4 seconds of the qualifying mark while her sister turned in a time of 5.31.05 for a third place finish in the under 20 girls1500m, as well as a 4th place in the 800m in a time of 2.32. Coach Tyrone said he was impressed with the athletes performance as it was Chantelle’s first 100m for the season as well as Ashliegh’s first high jump competition.

Both Foster sisters also ran their events for the first time this season, the 800m and 1500m, and from all indications they should meet the qualifying standard very soon, indicated Coach Yen.
