Deutsche Bank has been officially crowned best private bank in the Cayman Islands at the prestigious Euromoney Private Banking Awards Dinner 2007, held at Spitalfields Christchurch in London on 1 February.
The Awards ceremony was based on the Euromoney Private Banking Survey 2007, the results for which were announced at the beginning of January. The survey ranks private banks across a range of business service areas at global and regional levels and is designed to reflect the opinions of both advisers to private clients and other wealth management companies, states a press release.
The award was presented to representatives of Deutsche Bank before a packed audience, which included an impressive list of professionals from the world’s best private banks, fund and investment management houses and private client stockbrokers.
In celebration of the Bank’s achievement in Cayman, Deutsche Bank’s staff and clients joined with local business professionals for a cocktail reception last week at The Westin Hotel. Jean-Claude Emard of Deutsche Bank Cayman led proceedings with a short speech, commenting:
‘It is very pleasing to win this prestigious award and to be officially recognised as the top private bank in Cayman. It is a tribute to all of our staff, who have worked so hard to achieve this position and we are delighted that we are now able to celebrate our success. This award serves to highlight the Bank’s commitment to client service and care, which is at the centre of all we do. We can build on what we have achieved and look forward to continuing to provide a high quality and cutting edge service.’
The award comes at a particularly significant time for Deutsche Bank, which is continuing to build on its range of specialist services and has an increased focus on serving the captive insurance market. As such they have developed a competitive one stop solution for these clients including banking, custody, letters of credit, deposits, foreign exchange and discretionary investment management services.
Deutsche Bank Offshore Group also has operations in the Channel Islands and Mauritius.
