Springtime in Cayman signals the breathtaking experience of the annual Orchid Show, held this Saturday and Sunday at the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park, located off Frank Sound Road.
Sponsored jointly by the Cayman Islands Orchid Society and the Botanic Park, the show includes educational exhibitions, colourful displays, and a chance to purchase some of the most beautiful and rare flowers in the world.
The event has also become an occasion for educating gardeners on the techniques of growing orchids.
All proceeds from the Show are used for orchid conservation efforts to protect Cayman’s native orchids.
The event is free to attend, however normal park admission rates apply, which are $8 for adults, children under 12 free.
