Tyrell Cuffy has climbed to second place in the latest NAIA national rankings for both the 100 and 200 meter dashes.
Tyrell, who competes for King College, in Bristol, Tennessee, posted marks of 10.42 and 21.07 in winning the double at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships last weekend, to establish new Cayman National Junior Records for both short sprints with these performances.
The King College Tornado 4 x 400 meter relay squad is listed fourth in the standings with a
3:13.74 mark, and the 4 x 100 quartet’s 42.08 is good for the tenth-best performance.
King College is not scheduled to compete this weekend , but the following two Saturdays are scheduled for appearances at Clemson, and then Georgia Tech, with a break after that before the NAIA Championships at Fresno Pacific in California the last weekend in May.
