Cable & Wireless is poised to launch a new business voice solution, Virtual Office.
This seamless and easy to use solution will provide small, medium and large enterprises with business-grade voice communication, data and video features that work virtually anywhere, at minimal cost, states a press release.
Virtual Office uses Session Initiation Protocol to offer quality office voice services plus multimedia elements, such as, video and chat connections from anywhere customers can access high-speed Internet broadband connections. With Virtual Office, business communication will no longer be tied to an office or desk.
Companies will have the full range of features found on a traditional office telephone system and more available to them at anytime, anywhere in the world. Virtual Office allows businesses to operate each telephone extension from any location and provide services such as business class voicemail, call forwarding, call waiting and do not disturb. In addition, a unique variety of other communication tools will also be available: easy access to video calling, telephone conferencing, account and authorisation codes, and web based interfaces for phone set- up including moves, adds or changes.
Virtual Office equipment and services will be centrally managed and hosted by Cable & Wireless at their hurricane-proof facility, One Technology Square. This will provide businesses with the advantage of superior level voice and data services which are protected and secured for extra reliability. Minimal up-front investment is required in terms of hardware, specialised training or time to implement. For businesses, this will mean increased mobility, efficiencies and cost savings in communication.
Business customers can choose from three levels of service to suit its requirements and budget, as well as from a wide range of state of the art telephone and video phones. A web meeting option will be available to provide real time multimedia presentation to a group of people through either telephone or video conferencing with features, such as, file transfers, Internet co-browsing and sharing through white boarding. Cable and Wireless has filed with the Information Communications and Technology Authority to get approval to launch Virtual Office by late June 2007.
