Appleby wins coveted award

Appleby’s Trust Law Group has been named Caribbean Private Client Team of the Year by the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners.

The award was made on 13 September in London at the society’s gala dinner for its Private Client Awards 2007/08, stated a press release.

Partner and Head of Trusts in the Cayman Islands office, Carlos de Serpa Pimentel, and other members of the Trust’s global team, including Randall Krebs, Graham Boxall, Naomi Rive and Michael Stanford-Tuck, represented Appleby.

‘Appleby is a firm of committed private client lawyers who have contributed to the development of trust practice in each of those jurisdictions where they are represented,’ the judges commented,

‘Their staff is especially commended for their sensitive and helpful approach to the demands of trust litigation and constructive advisory work.’

Mr. de Serpa Pimentel, commented, ‘We are extremely honoured and proud to have won this award which recognises our firm’s contribution to the development of trust practice and to the needs of our clients.
