Kimberly Robinson has been selected as the recipient of the Royal Bank of Canada Trust Company (Cayman) Limited 2007/2008 Scholarship Award.
The scholarship will allow Ms Robinson to pursue a three-year Bachelor’s degree in Law and Business Administration at the University of Kent, where she commenced studies in September, states a press release.
Kimberly is the daughter of Hedley and Arlene Robinson. She graduated from John Gray High School in 2005 and completed A’ level studies at Cayman Prep & High School in June this year. In addition to her stellar academic performance, Kimberly has been involved in numerous youth leadership programs including the Commonwealth Youth Parliament, Junior Achievement and the Global Young Leaders Conference. Most notably, she represented the Cayman Islands at the Global Young Leaders Summit in China in 2006 and also participated in the Atlantic Youth Forum at Wilton Park, UK in 2006.
The RBC Trust Company Scholarship Programme, valued at up to US$25,000 per annum comes with practical work experience at the company as well as the opportunity for future employment. The scholarship is aimed to support the educational development of young Caymanians wishing to pursue a career in the finance industry.
