Cayman Airways twin otter Express flights between Grand Cayman and the Sister Islands were temporarily suspended Thursday morning because of weather conditions.
Winds of 40mph on Cayman Brac were the cause, confirmed Cayman Airways Manager Corporate Communications Pat Bynoe-Clarke.
Thursday morning an 11am Express flight scheduled to depart Cayman Brac for Grand Cayman had to remain at the Gerrard-Smith airport until the winds died down.
Once the winds subsided the flights were to get back on track.
By press time yesterday it was not known how long those winds would last but it was expected that by today, Friday, flights would be running as normal.
