Extending the school age is not really necessary.
Perhaps offering free education to students, or training in a specific trade would be more logical.
There are many students who either because of a dislike of school, or other reasons – too lengthy to mention – would be deterred by having to undergo another year or two of full-time education.
This would then lead to lowering graduation rates, etc, as I see that it is sometimes impossible in this day and age to motivate students.
I do feel that extending the school age would be beneficial, but it would have to be done in a manner that would allow for all of our students to succeed.
