CAL spreads holiday cheer

Sixteen employees from the Airport Ticket Office at Cayman Airways decided last year that they would raise funds for charity this Christmas.

They raised US$1600 and eight people gave of their time and travelled to Miami to purchase 42 gifts for children between the ages of three and five.

On Tuesday, 18 December Ms Dornah Jackson and the team presented the gifts to Ms Alicia Dixon of the Social Services Department.

Accepting the gifts, Ms Dixon said the Department was very pleased that the staff at Cayman Airways chose to make Christmas very special for a number of less fortunate children in our society this year. She thanked the Cayman Airways team for their support of the efforts of the Social Services Department in the Cayman community.

Cayman Airways applauded the selflessness of the employees and said it was honored that this group of employees used their initiative to raise funds for such a worthy cause.
