Request for Cuba information

I was lucky enough to vacation in the Caymans when I was 16; 42 years ago, 1966 I believe.

I remember that a Cuban gunboat had been hijacked by its crew and arrived in George Town harbour to the dismay of Fidel Castro.

The Cuban government said it was going to come to the Caymans to take back its boat (invade). Next there were British warships planes, troops, etc. protecting the Caymans.

It was like being in a movie, waiting for the Cubans to attack!

Soon Castro realised that the Caymans were a strong and protected nation not to be messed with and traded some Caymanian prisoners for the boat (it was all rusty and dirty).

The next day the British left and all was back to normal. Do you have any information on this incident available so I can prove this really happen to me? Thanks. I hope to return someday.
