Toughest will slug it out again

Another pulsating night of mixed martial arts is imminent as some of Cayman’s toughest fighters clash again in Proving Ground III.

It’s on 15 February at the King’s Sport Centre in George Town and promises to be just as entertaining as the first two bills. This show was originally scheduled for New Year’s Eve so some fighters have been training for a long time.

MMA fans never pass up a chance to see the action and this looks like being another stirring night of tough battles.

It’s promoted again by Chris Dinan of Sparks Energy. Crowd-pleasing brothers Bruce and Timothy Coulson will be fighting again. Also on the bill are Eric Vincent, Steve Chapman and Nolan Karrumi against Manny Alfaro. Karrumi is better known as a flag football quarterback. This is his first MMA bout. Canadian Alfaro is flying in from Windsor for this. John Mack, the Next Level flag football QB, was scheduled to fight but busted a rib in training on Wednesday.

The capacity is limited to 1,100 and tickets are available at Aqua Beach but can be bought at a few other venues soon. General admission is $55 and for ringside it’s $100. Gates open at 6pm and fights start an hour later.
