Email archival seminar set

Kirk Information Solutions & Services and Symantec will host an Email Archival and Disaster Recovery Seminar at the UCCI Executive Training Center on Thursday, 21 February.

“Public and private sector organisations in the Cayman Islands are facing similar challenges to their counterparts in other offshore jurisdictions,’ said Rob Eyers, responsible for Enterprise Business Development at Kirk iSS. ‘The increased use of technologies such as email, sms, instant messaging, Microsoft Office and a range of other types of electronic communications have resulted in substantial growth in data within the enterprise and in turn created a significant data management problem for the IT Department. With 83 per cent of business communication now being electronic, organisations need a solution to reduce the cost of storing, managing and discovering this electronic tidal wave of business information’

Managing Director Geoffrey Cuff added ‘Enterprise Vault is considered by many to be the leader in the content archiving space. In Gartner’s 2007 Magic Quadrant for Email Archiving, Symantec was the only vendor placed in the leadership quadrant. By identifying Symantec in this way, Gartner not only acknowledges Enterprise Vault as being the lead product for Email Archival but also confirms their belief that Symantec’s execution and vision is head and shoulders above the competition”.
