For Cayman residents looking for a change of scenery without the cost of a plane ticket, a range of experiences, day passes and resident discounts are making it easier to play tourist for a day this summer.

From resort day passes and beach clubs to discounted watersports, spa experiences and beachfront cabanas, a growing number of businesses are targeting locals with offers that provide a taste of the Islands’ tourism product at a fraction of the cost of an overseas getaway.

Day passes at the Hampton by Hilton start at US$30 and include access to the pool, fitness centre, complimentary Wi-Fi, parking and a welcome drink. The Grand Caymanian Resort is offering day passes through ResortPass from US$70 for adults and US$45 for children. The package includes access to the pool, beach loungers, cabanas, towel service and food-and-beverage credits worth up to US$35 per adult.

Several of Cayman’s luxury properties are also offering experiences that can be enjoyed without booking a room.
