Netball scores team from abroad

Local netball will host an international team later this month.

The Cathedral Netball Club will be coming to Grand Cayman on 28 March. The club hails from Essex, England and is expected to stay on-island until 8 April.

During its visit, the squad is expected to play exhibition matches with local netballers, assist teams with coaching and training and hold courses in various aspects of the game including umpiring.

The team is expected to consist of 27 players in various age groups.

Each Cayman club has an opportunity to host the Cathedral Netball Club for one day. This will mean engaging in exhibition games and benefiting from workshops hosted by the team. Hosting will also mean netballers here provide lunch or dinner and souvenirs for exchange.

The Cayman Islands Netball Association invites all squads to play the Cathedral Netball Club and learn some of their techniques on coaching, training, umpiring, etc.

Team requests should be given to CINA no later than 10 March.

The request will be granted based on the various activities that the team has planned for the visiting English club.
