Jamaica holds its biggest biggest amateur golf tournament from Monday.
World-class automobile manufacturers Mercedes Benz has partnered with the University of the West Indies, Mona, for the 10th staging of the UWI Golf Classic at Caymanas Golf & Country Club.
Over 120 amateur golfers are expected to compete on the lush par-72 course, with several sporting icons down to compete from July 13.
Former West Indies players Gordon Greenidge, Desmond Haynes, Jeffery Dujon, Maurice Foster and Courtney Walsh will play as special celebrity guests.
West Indies batting legends Sir Viv Richards and Brian Lara could also play on one of the island’s favourite golf course, famous for its elevated tees and challenging 12th hole.
