Woody Foster has been elected President of Rotary Sunrise for the club’s new year, which began this month.
He takes over from Rosie Jamieson, the first female president of Rotary Sunrise. Under Rosie’s leadership the club has grown to almost 100 members.
The goal for this year is to stamp out illiteracy in the Cayman Islands.
The club will work with the other Rotary clubs on the island as well as the Government, school systems, other service clubs and the community at large and they expect to make huge inroads into this problem.
Rotary Sunrise meets at the Grand Old House on Wednesday mornings for breakfast.
