Students gave $7,338.91 for various mission projects.

Seven classes gave over $600 and the eighth grade topped them all by giving nearly $1,000.

Projects supported this year were Hurricane Dean victims in Jamaica, Jimmy Hughes Ministries in Honduras, El Verbo Church and Orphanage in Nicaragua and the Church of God Orphanage and School in Haiti.

Additionally they gave money to the Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf and supported two children -one in Uganda and the other in the Philippines. At Christmas time, students gave the proceeds of their concert to the Kiwanis and Lion’s Christmas projects.

‘I am very proud of these children; they fundraise for the school needs on a regular basis, but when it comes to helping the needs in our world, they give from the heart,’ said Principal, Marjorie Ebanks
