Anthony Husemann has been appointed the new principal of Triple C School.
He will replace Mrs. Marjorie Ebanks, who is retiring from the position after 30 years of service.
Mr. Husemann commented that he was honoured and humbled to be chosen as the new principal.
After being gone for 13 years, Mr. Husemann and his wife, Lynn, are returning to Grand Cayman.
Both of their sons were born in George Town in the early ’80s and attended Triple C School for most of their elementary years. Their daughter was one year old when they first moved to Cayman from California 24 years ago. Both Anthony and Lynn were teachers at Triple C School and later Mr. Husemann was hired for the position of principal of Truth for Youth School for several years in the mid-90s.
Mr. Husemann has been a principal for 15 years and has over 25 years of teaching experience. He comes from Calvary Christian Academy in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where he was academic dean of a school of over 1,400 students.
He also has many innovative ideas that he plans on evaluating with the board, parents, and staff at CCC for future implementation. Triple C School follows the American system of education and one key plan is to expand the advanced placement programmes and work with local colleges on dual enrolment for high school students. There are also plans to introduce some elements of classical education into the curriculum.
Mr. Husemann invites anyone who is interested in enrolling their children at CCC for the year 2008-2009 to come by and talk with him or call on 949-6022.
