Tortuga gets top honours

For the second year, the Tortuga Rum Cake Company has been recognised by Inc. magazine as one of the Top 5000 fastest-growing private companies in the United States, the Miami-based business that handles worldwide sales and distribution of Tortuga Rum Cakes and other Caribbean gourmet products recorded revenue growth of 65.8 per cent from 2004 to 2007.

Doing business as the Tortuga Rum Cake Company, Tortuga Imports, Inc. celebrated its 10th year in business in 2007., the nations’ leading multicultural internet site, has named the company as one of the Top 100 diversity-owned businesses in the state of Florida. In June, The Commonwealth Institute and Florida International University recognized Tortuga Imports as one of Florida’s Top 50 Women-Led Businesses.
