Nicosia Lawson and the Ministry of Tourism made it official recently with a contract signing that gives Miss Lawson her duties and responsibilities as Miss Cayman Islands.
Miss Lawson won the Miss Cayman Islands crown during the 24 August pageant. The contract, which was signed on behalf of the Ministry by Tourism Minister Charles Clifford, also outlines the prizes to which Miss Lawson is entitled.
After the 3 September contract signing, Miss Lawson received her prize car, a 2008 Nissan Bluebird valued at more than CI$25,000. The vehicle was provided courtesy of Platinum Motors and Automotive Art. Platinum Motors’ Sales Manager Clement Arthur presented Miss Lawson with the keys.
Also on hand for the handing over were Minister Clifford; Miss Cayman Islands Committee Chairperson Jacqueline Terry and Automotive Art’s Managing Director Wayne Kirkconnell.
Miss Cayman Islands will compete this December in the Miss World contest, to be held in South Africa.
