dms partners with RADD against drinking and driving

dms Broadcasting Ltd. is doing its part to promote safety on the roads by partnering with Recording Artists, Actors and Athletes Against Drunk Driving in a collaborative effort to take a stand against drinking and driving.

Its series of community service announcements made its debut on September 17, and will be played daily on each of dms’ fours radio stations: 96.5 CAYROCK, HOT 104.1 FM, 106.1 KISS FM and X107.1

Phil Vinciullo, dms Broadcasting’s Network Promotions and Marketing Manager, said ‘dms Broadcasting is proud to use our use our voice to encourage our listeners to take a zero tolerance approach to drinking and driving. We are whole-heartedly committed to supporting such a worthy cause as this, particularly considering the high number of fatalities and alcohol-related accidents on Cayman’s roads over the last few years.’

The messages being aired feature artists commonly played on each of the stations, including Justin Timberlake, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Black Eyed Peas, Paul McCartney, Shaquille O’Neal, No Doubt, KISS, the Rolling Stones, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Phil Collins, Ozzy Osbourne, and many more. Each message also ends with a message that speaks specifically to the community of Cayman.

Through this campaign dms hopes to raise awareness of the dangers associated with drinking and driving and promote safe alternatives. As well as reinforcing the universal message that ‘friends do not let friends drive drunk’.

RADD is an international non- profit organization that empowers celebrities and media partners to create positive attitudes about road safety. RADD advocates the use of designated drivers, seatbelts and safe driving through control behind the wheel.

‘Like RADD, dms Broadcasting is not anti-alcohol nor is it anti-drinking – it is simply pro responsible drinking,’ commented X107.1 Breakfast Team’s Chloe Hill.
