Gala a success

The ReMax Breast Cancer Gala Dinner at the Westin Casuarina Resort featured musical performances, a silent and live auction and keynote speaker Diane Balma from the Susan G. Komen organization.

The Water Authority- Cayman Board Members donated $1,500 at the event to help support the Cayman Islands Cancer Society and Lions Club of Tropical Gardens, Breast Cancer Awareness projects.

Water Authority Director, Mrs. Gelia Frederick-van Genderen, said: ‘The Water Authority is delighted to support this event which helps to promote awareness of this deadly disease to the people of the Cayman Islands. We would like to thank all of the volunteers and sponsors for their hard work and dedication.’

ReMax Cayman Islands Owner, Kim Lund, said: ‘Without the support of the community and our local businesses, critical fundraising events for worthy causes like cancer awareness and prevention would be unsuccessful… We sincerely appreciate their efforts and support, so Cayman can win this battle with cancer.’
