Cayman 27 Newsreader Tammy Sulliman interviews Janice Wilson, National Council Volunatry Organisation CEO at the NCVO’s 29th annual telethon, held last Saturday at Hard Rock Café, George Town.
Broadcast on Cayman 27 and simulcast on Radio Cayman, the telethon is the organisations largest fundraiser. The money raised helps to maintain and operate one of Cayman’s longest running charities. Entertainers this year included the Barfeoot Man, Sea N’ B, Earl La Pierre, the Steel Pan Orchestra and rock group Suckerbox. A team of telephone operators, pictured left, took pledges throughout the night. Just over $122,000 was raised.
