The Brac Command Centre is still in need of the following items:
- 300-400 square-point shovels
- 300 buckets
- 500 mops and brooms
- 100 cases of bleach
- 50 scrubbing boards
- 35 bath pans for the elderly
- Water
- Lanterns
- Double A batteries
- Size D batteries
- Dehumidifiers (any size)
- Button-top nails
- Insect repellant
- Basic cleaning supplies, such as disinfectant and soap powder
Donation instructions:
Items donated to the government must be consigned to the DAPAH Command Centre Cayman Brac.
Note: Call Hazard Management Cayman Islands at 244-3147 for more information on donations to the Cayman Islands Government.
Public donations may be made to the Red Cross or other non-government organisations. They should be taken to the Red Cross offices between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm daily.
Note: Boxes or goods should be properly packaged and have labels indicating their contents, e.g. non-perishable foods, cleaning supplies etc.
Persons sending relief donations to family members should ensure that their family member’s name and address are clearly printed on the packaging.
