Francesca Dowse was called to the bar of the Cayman Islands in the Grand Court by Justice Charles Quin on 13 January, the admission being moved by David McGrath of Samson & McGrath.
Ms Dowse has joined the matrimonial and children department of Samson & McGrath, where she will deal with all aspects of divorce, financial relief, child care, and child abduction.
Her background includes studies at the University of Lancaster and at New York University; then completion of her professional qualifications at the University of Manchester, England. She was called to the bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.
Prior to her arrival in Cayman, she was in independent practice at the bar in England at Young Street Chambers. She has a broad common law experience but her area of expertise is in family law and in particular high-net-worth divorce.
