A tree for Miss Virginia

Members of the Girls Brigade from around Grand Cayman travelled to North Side on Monday, where they planted a neem tree in memory of Mrs. Virginia McCoy, who was actively involved in the organisation for over 40 years until her death last September. The tree was planted in the yard of the district United Church to which she belonged. Harris McCoy, seen shovelling sand over roots, said he thought his mother would be pleased by the tree, which will grow and be a part of everything that takes place at the church and hall, which is where the Girls Brigade meets. Assisting with water and plant food are Mrs. Effie Johnson and Mrs. Olive Miller.
