Volunteers pitch in for Flag Day

Employees with dms Organization Ltd. recently participated in Cayman HospiceCare’s 8th Annual Flag Day initiative.

More than 15 volunteers from dms’ affiliate and subsidiary companies worked from 6.30-9am outside of the George Town Post Office to collect donations for the organisation while X107.1 broadcast live from the centre of town.

‘It was great to be able to connect directly with the community for this cause,’ remarked Chloe of The Morning X.

‘Lending a hand to Cayman HospiceCare is always a rewarding experience, and the generosity of the Cayman Islands community was overwhelming. During the hours that our team was downtown, we collected over CI$1,500!’

X107.1 presented generous donators with vouchers from Hard Rock Café, Papa John’s Pizza and Billy Bones.

‘This is the third year in a row that we have joined in support of Cayman HospiceCare and their endeavours,’ said Phil Vinciullo, dms Broadcasting’s network promotions and marketing manager.

‘It has been an honour to support such a noble organization.’

On behalf of HospiceCare, Jennifer Grant-McCarthy said: ‘X107.1 and the rest of the dms Organization crew gave an electrifying start to our fundraising efforts.

‘The impact of their location and the enthusiasm of their volunteers, not only brightened the morning of those who passed through, but helped bring awareness to our cause. The benefit of their efforts will be most appreciated by our patients and their families.’
