Lee’s still got it

National Under-23 defender Donald ‘Naddy’ Solomon opened the scoring for George Town last Sunday when they whipped Tigers 3-0 in the Cayman Islands Football Association Premier League at the Annex in George Town.

Future won by the same margin against Roma in their game played later at that same venue.

Solomon scored in the 16th, Jessus Ebanks in the 29th and Lee Ramoon in the 77th.

From the start of the game George Town came out to dominate, making the Tigers defence line panic several times.

Solomon made his contribution by eluding defenders and smashing home George Town’s first.

Jessus Ebanks scored the first goal for his new club since leaving Future, after making some good passes in midfield and going full speed towards goal.

In the second half, Tigers made some changes and started to threaten George Town’s goal but they held firm in defence.

Veteran Lee Ramoon may be 46 but he still polished off the scoring after picking up a ball from the middle and with his usual elusive moves hit his side’s third.

The feature game at 7pm between Future and Roma saw the scoring open when Demion Williams fired home in the 28th minute after Roma failed to put away several chances in the first 20 minutes.

Two minutes later Otis Miles made the score 2-0 and in the 72nd minute Paul Brown hit a third.

In the last 25 minutes of the game Roma played extremely well but just could not get past the Future defence led by Jerad Ebanks and Mario Dinall.
