Gayle won’t kill coach

England finally won a cricket match on Friday – after a monumental cock-up by West Indies coach John Dyson.

Hapless Dyson called his batsmen in for bad light, convinced Windies had won under the Duckworth/Lewis method.

But he got it totally wrong and England were declared winners of the first one-day international by one run!

West Indies skipper Chris Gayle said: ‘I’m not going to kill him for the mistake. He miscalculated the D/L system and thought that we were ahead. It’s his job to keep on top of these things and if he thought he was and wasn’t it’s just a mistake. But we are disappointed because we played really hard.’
