Over the years the Mustang track club has been very successful at this meet as Morrison and the Naltys Ashleigh and Justin hold numerous records and this year will be no different as the athletes have trained very hard.

This meet also serves as a qualifier for the Island games in Arland, near Finland in June, the world youth championships in Italy in July and the CAC youth games in Bahamas in June.

Newcomer Jeavon Jackson and reigning inter primary 100 and 200 metres champion Jopuri Haylock and Leo Isaiah Ebanks will lead the boys’ youth division fresh from their first second and third place respective finishes at last week’s CAC youth trials. Much is expected of them.

Jada Wright and Tinnika Gibson also took first and second place at the recently CAC trials and are also expected to do well.

Ashleigh Nalty also have not lost the girls high jump in the last three yeas and expectation is high to capture this event once again.

Justin Nalty also won the boys high jump last year. Melinda McLean who was a finalist last year in both the 100m and the 200m will once again represent the club in both events and should do well.

Coach Yen said: ‘The Mustang track club would like to thank our many sponsors and parents who have made this trip a success as we look forward to your continued support.’
