Well known Jamaican comedian, Oliver Samuels returns to Grand Cayman this year with another of his celebrated comedies, Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing.
Staged at the Lions Centre on Sunday, July 19 at 7pm, the play will be presented by JOC promotions, in support of the charitable works of the Jewel of Cayman Lodge.
Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing will feature a weathered cast of some of Jamaica’s finest actors such as Glen Campbell, Camille Davis, Courtney Wilson, Christopher Hutchinson and Sharee McDonald.
Samuels is best known for leaving a trail of never-ending laughter on the faces of playgoers across the Cayman Islands.
His critically acclaimed comedy, ‘River Bottom’ played to a sold-out crowd at the Lions Centre in June 2008 and according to insiders, Oliver’s fans in Cayman will no doubt be thrilled with this year’s performance.
Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing is a reality comedy set in the posh residence of an upper class Jamaican family. However, the successful world of the patriarch (Oliver Samuels) is about to be shattered, as a result of his wife’s burning desire to be a foster parent.
Samuels has also made a wildly successful transition to TV comedy, with his ‘Oliver at Large’ series and has even been dubbed ‘the Jamaican Bill Cosby.’ He is widely regarded as one of the funniest talents to emerge from the Caribbean in over 40 years.
Tickets for Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing can be purchased in advance for $25 and at the gate for $30. Outlets and commencement of ticket sales will be announced shortly.
