Greenies tame loose Tigers

Greenies have had a fine season led by captain Tom Stephens and on Sunday will be their biggest match of the Clico Cayman Division One campaign.

They face the sizzling Prison with their skipper Saheed Mohamed in inspirational form.

On Sunday though Greenies played well within themselves to beat ESSO Tigers by 64 runs.

Greenies were 191 all out in the 50th over with most of the runs coming from Shaun Neveling, 38, Stephens, 29, and Faisal Ahmed, 22. They had a remarkable 41 extras.

Ryan Bovell took 4-28 with Matthew Rose and Alistair Ifill getting two apiece.

ESSO Tigers were 127 all out. Wayne Cato top scored with 24. Bovell got 20 and Alvin Babb 17. Paul Hogg (3-15) and Andrew Ledger (3-33) and were the pick of the Greenies bowling.
