With its member base now more than 12,000 and growing, the Credit Union decided there was an urgent need to expand its main branch building on Grand Cayman.

Work has already commenced on the new parking area as a first step to making room for the actual expansion of the building itself. Plans are for a single-storey building to be added to the existing structure extending westward, beyond the present parking area.

The expansion to the building will provide enhanced facilities such as a larger member services lobby area with additional teller stations and private offices in the loans department.

Chairman of CICSA’s Cooperative Credit Union Franz Manderson said the organisation looked at the project as an essential investment.
