Cultural camp for kids

Youngsters at the Cayman National Cultural Foundation Summer Arts Camp are learning all about their culture and heritage.

Local artisans Josie Solomon, Agnes McCoy, Rose Mae Ebanks, Nasaria Suckoo-Chollette, Norma Ferryman, Rita Estevanovich, Gerriann Foster and Roy Bodden are lending their expertise to the series of arts camps taking place at the Harquail Cultural Theatre from 9am to 1pm.

Traditional arts such as Maypole dancing, thatching, kite making, speedy weave, crochet, sewing and other creative cultural experiences are been handed down to young campers under the theme Pass It Down.

Each year Cayman National Cultural Foundation offers the series of Summer Arts Camp for youngsters age 8 to 15 years old which focuses on the arts, heritage and culture of these islands.
