Shaune Fraser again lowered his national record in the 200 metres freestyle at the world championships in Rome on Monday.

He took his time to 1 minute 46.44 seconds in his first appearance in a world championship semi-final. His overall place of tenth in the event was not quite enough to make it through to the final where the top eight swimmers will compete.

Shaune competed in the 200m butterfly heats yesterday followed by both Shaune and brother Brett in the 100m freestyle heats today.
