Saturday sees the annual Stingray Tourism awards ceremony of the Cayman Islands Tourism Association.
Recognition is given to those individuals who have offered the greatest contribution in the well-being of the Cayman Islands tourism industry and the Association’s affairs throughout the year.
Every year the attendees of this annual gala are those businesses who support CITA’s vision to reinforce and cultivate exceptional service within the tourism industry. Erin Bodden of CITA stressed the importance of visitors to the island.
‘Guests who have extraordinary experiences will come back to our islands and tell their friends about the Caymanian warm welcome, the exceptional service and culinary delights not to mention our islands’ pristine waters and natural beauty. With tourism being one of the two economic pillars of the Islands there is virtually no business which is not affected by and or dependent on the success of tourism.’
The Cayman Stingray Tourism Awards Gala is being held this Saturday November 28th at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman Ballroom.
It is an opportunity for nominees to dress up and celebrate their success. The evening begins with cocktails, a delicious dinner with live music by Island Vibes with dancing following the ceremony. During the ceremony the Cayman Islands Tourism Association will present the winners for 2009 in each of the categories.
Tickets are $150per person or $1250 for a table of ten. All proceeds from this event are contributed to the scholarship fund which is awarded by CITA to an outstanding individual pursuing a career in tourism.
