Floating bar outrages

We are outraged at the idea of a floating bar being located at the Sting Ray City snorkel site.

Aside from losing the natural look, as it is, in the area of North Sound, the potential pollution such as floating garbage and human waste are potential disasters in waiting.

The possible effects on the marine life could be devastating. Mr. Bush’s plan is dangerous and continues to show that Cayman Island tourism has priority over the marine environment.

My wife and I have been yearly visitors to the Island for 25 years. We were some of the first divers to interact with the rays at Stingray City. Bob Soto’s dive operation would use Stingray City as a rest spot between our North Wall dives.

This proposal would further degrade the concept of marine conservation.
