Close Brothers Helping Haiti

Close Brothers (Cayman) Limited has
donated US$5,000 to the Cayman Islands Red Cross Haiti Earthquake Appeal.

According to Haitian Prime
Minister, Jean Bellerive, the earthquake has affected an estimated 3 million
people, with 212,000 confirmed dead and hundreds of thousands injured or still
unaccounted for. With the search for survivors now officially over and the UN’s
emergency phase of relief operations drawing to a close, focus now shifts to
efforts to re-establish the country’s fragile infrastructure and house the
estimated 1.2 million homeless.

“We are grateful that we are in a
position to be able to help our neighbours in Haiti,” said Managing Director of
Close Brothers Linburgh Martin.

“We encourage individuals, businesses
and the government in the Cayman Islands to continue to give generously.”

Donations can still be made
directly to the Red Cross, to Butterfield Bank under the Cayman Islands Red
Cross Haiti Earthquake Appeal Account (02-201-035054-04) or to the Scotia Bank
Accounts under the Cayman Islands Red Cross Earthquake Appeal.
