Euromoney nods for RBC

RBC Wealth Management has been
recognised as having the “Best Private Banking Services Overall” in Canada, the
Caribbean, and Jersey at the 2010 Euromoney Private Banking Awards.

RBC Wealth Management earned awards
in all three of the Caribbean countries where it operates: Cayman Islands,
Bahamas, and Barbados.

“This accomplishment would not have
been possible without the exceptionally strong and dedicated people that make
up our Caribbean operation,” said Managing Director of RBC Wealth Management Caribbean
Gordon Anderson.

“We are very fortunate to have a
team of professionals who work extremely hard every day at upholding and
maintaining RBC’s culture of outstanding client service.”

RBC is ranked 3rd and 13th
respectively in the categories of “Best Private Banking Services Overall in
North America” and “Best Private Banking Services Globally” and ranked in the
top 20 in Latin America and Western Europe.

“We are extremely pleased and
flattered to be so highly recognized by our peers in Euromoney’s Private
Banking Awards,” said group head of RBC Wealth Management George Lewis.

Michael Lagopoulos, CEO and
president of International Wealth Management at RBC, said the bank’s wealth
management business across the globe has benefitted from the size, strength and
stability of Royal Bank of Canada.

“This has enabled us to continue to
grow our international business. In 2009, we were able to gain market share,
add significant new clients and recruit exceptional talent to our global wealth
management operations.”

RBC Wealth Management’s
2010 rankings in the Euromoney Private Banking Awards are up significantly from
its 2009 rankings in a number of key markets around the world. The firm’s
global ranking has moved from 24th place in 2009 to 13th place in 2010. The Euromoney
survey uses a peer ranking methodology.
