RE/MAX get into squash

The squash club in South Sound has
another sponsor.

As part of their community
involvement, the owner, brokers and sales associates of RE/MAX Cayman Islands
have presented the South Sound Squash Club with a cheque for a squash court sponsorship.

The South Sound Squash Club was
established as a members-owned, not-for-profit club in 1980.

Over the years it has grown from
its core founder members and three courts to become the Caribbean’s premier
squash facility with seven air conditioned international courts.

SSSC has over 450 members and three
professional squash coaches.

Club manager Dan Kneipp said that
he is very pleased to have RE/MAX sponsor one of their courts. “As a
not-for-profit club this support is vital for us to keep the club running successfully
and allowing our junior members to play without having to pay for court
use.”

Due to its excellent youth
programme the squash club was chosen by the RE/MAX Community Committee to
receive these funds. Dillon Claassens, selling assistant for the Lund team and
chairman of the Community Committee said: “Over the years, the RE/MAX family
has contributed to many community programmes. The Little League, junior rugby
and now the squash club are close to everyone’s heart. These programmes allow
the youth in Cayman to enjoy a sport for free and learn important life skills.”
