RE/MAX Cayman Islands office was recently
honoured for having the highest sales volume for a single international office
The award was given out at the annual
RE/MAX International Convention held this year in Orlando, a forum for
education, networking and celebration, and the place where the production
awards 2009 were handed out at the Night of the Stars.
RE/MAX Cayman Islands team members including
Broker/Owners James Bovell and Kim Lund, sales associates Kass Coleman, Karina
McDermot, Tamara Siemens, Susan Boyko and Michael Joseph, office manager
Brigitte Greene and Ms. Coleman’s assistant Rai Fordeczka were all in attendance.
“We are much honoured to receive
this prestigious award”, said Broker/Owner for RE/MAX Cayman Islands James
Bovell, noting that the office beat out approximately 3,000 other offices
outside Canada and the United States.
“It is a sign that the Cayman
Islands Real Estate market has been less impacted by the global economic
climate than other areas. It also reflects the hard work and dedication that
our sales associates demonstrate every day helping home owners and buyers
realise their dreams.”
He noted that Cayman was able to
hold its ground thanks to Cayman’s strength and stability in a global market
that was far from normal.
“We were down maybe 3.2 per cent,
while others were down 20 to 30 per cent,” said Mr. Bovell.
“It was nice for Cayman to be
Individually and team-wise, the
Cayman sales associates picked up quite a few accolades, including James Bovell
earning a very respectful 60th place in the Top 100 Individual
Mr. Bovell also placed second out of
the top 100 Individuals International 2009.
Michael Joseph place 18th, Kass
Coleman and Tamara Siemens respectively placed 33rd and 34th,
Scott Roe placed 66th and Jim Fraser placed 87th.
Of the Top 100 International Teams
2009, Kim Lund, Dillon Claassens and Cindy Raymond of the Lund Team placed 9th
overall, while Neil Williams and Cathy Williams of Team Williams² placed 11th
Within the Caribbean/Central
America Region, the RE/MAX team achieved not only Top Office 2009 for sales volume
but also runner-up for top office 2009 for transaction.
