Carmel Harms created history by
scoring the first century in the Women’s League against Motown on Sunday at the
John A Cumber Primary School ground.
Harms’ maiden hundred was filled
with 16 boundaries gracefully played all around the ground.
Batting first, Motown scored 159
runs for 4 wickets. With wickets falling around her, Harms continued batting
like someone on a mission. With three balls remaining and six runs required for
victory, she stroked her final boundary and provided her team Greenies with a
well deserved victory.
Matches in Division 1 and 2 were
rained out over the weekend.
