A magnificent century by Steve
Gordon was the outstanding feature in Division 1 as Prison defeated By Rite to
claim an unbeatable position at the top.

Gordon arrived at the wicket with
Prison reeling on two wickets down for just 12 runs and together with Gerard
Christian set the foundation in a partnership of 133 runs for a remarkable

In an innings of brilliance Gordon
stroked 10 fours and one six. Captain Kevin Bazil then put the finishing touches
hitting three sixes and three fours in 47 runs. Prison won by five wickets.

Earlier By Rite lead by Sylvester
Suberan 72 runs and excellent lower order contributions from Conroy Wright 34,
Michael Wight 37 and Kenute Tulloch 25 set the tone with a total of 242. At the
end that  proved to be not enough.

Over at the Jimmy Powell Oval, ESSO
Tigers easily defeated LIME Schools. Batting first Esso Tigers got to183 for 8.
Al Shields top scored with 54n.o. Zachary McLaughlin hit six fours in 63 runs
for the Schools team. ESSO Tigers won by 35 runs.

In Division 2, the battle for the
Cup and the Bucket was on as JJ’S challenged ESSO Cubs and Wellys/Cayman Doors
opposed Oneness. JJ’s defeated ESSO Cubs with Garth Bryan taking 4 wickets. At
Smith Road Oval, Zachary McLaughlin led Wellys/Cayman Doors to a 10 wickets
victory with a composed 49n.o.
