N’Vogue stages fashion extravaganza

A new fashion and entertainment
company geared at showcasing local Cayman talents is staging its first fashion extravaganza

N’Vogue Productions, Ltd., is
hosting its event at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort ballroom on Friday,
28 May.

Special guest models such as Kerrie
Baylis, the reigning Miss Jamaica World; Sara Lawrence, Miss World Caribbean
2006; Tafawah Thompson, Mr. Manhunt 2003; Stacy-Ann Kelly, Miss Cayman 2004;
Adrianna Christian, Miss Cayman Teen Photogenic; and local models Hortencia
Jackson and Cleopatra Henry will present a blend of Caribbean style and
international couture.

Weston Haughton, production
director of the Miss Jamaica World Pageant and a well-known fashion event
choreographer and stylist will also be a special guest participant.

The event begins at 7pm and tickets
are $40 pre-sold and $45 at the gate. Pre-sold tickets are available at Funky
Tangs, Reflections, Winners Circle Sports and other participating boutiques.

According to organisers, attendees
will be entertained with dramatic runway fashions from international designers
Mutamba, Uzuri International, Pablo Palair and Cayman’s own young and upcoming
designer Jawara Alleyne.

Cayman Island boutiques such as Infinity,
La Chic, Lorna’s Exquisite Fashions, One & Only and Temptations will also
be participating with their latest fashion wear.

Musical entertainment will be
provided by some of Cayman’s top performers including KK Alese, Jeffrey Wilson
and the KRI Performing Arts School.

Since the company was created
specifically to showcase local artistic talents, organisers say the show will
be held annually during at the end of May.

Partial net proceeds will be
donated to the Cayman Aids Foundation.
